Classes
Our Classes
Professionals & Amateur
Professionals & Amateur class is just as it says…for our active and current professional and amateur fighters only.
During these sessions our fighters spar and work hard in the lead up to their professional and amateur fights on boxing promotions that our fighters appear on regularly Australia wide and internationally.
If you are in the beginners or advanced boxing classes ask our trainers about watching some of the professional only training.
Experienced/Intermediate
Our Experienced/Intermediate boxing class go beyond covering the basics and if you choose to you can actively spar against a chosen gym member, or be matched up with another gym member by our qualified trainers.
But first you’ll need to go through our beginners boxing class if you do not have any real fight training experience.
Beginners
Our Beginners boxing class covers all the basics and everything else you would not expect to learn in a boxing class.
A typical class will start with a 10-minute warm-up, followed by about half an hour of boxing and finishing with a 10-minute warm-down. Classes will teach you how to punch properly – punching is about technique, not strength.
Classes are usually made up of around 15 to 20 people and concentrate on pad work and glove sparring, whilst emphasising correct boxing stance, punching technique and footwork.
“Glove sparring” means pairing off with another gym member and throwing punches and combinations at them, which they block with their gloves or punching pads. Then you swap and block theirs etc.
BoxFit
Boxfit is a high-intensity cardio workout based on boxing techniques using gloves and pad work. Suitable for all levels, this non-contact workout will you improve your agility, strength and overall fitness.
A typical class will start with a 10-minute warm-up, followed by about half an hour of boxing and finishing with a 10-minute warm-down.
If you are in the beginners boxing class the BoxFit class is a great way to improve your fitness.
